About Us
Hello, we're Shyamani & Nuwan, and we're the family behind this Highland holiday home.
We both work for the NHS, and outside of that, our real passion has always been hosting — welcoming family and friends into our home, making sure they're comfortable, well looked after, and leave feeling like they've had a proper rest. Running holiday accommodation felt like a natural extension of that, and it's what we've been doing since 2017.
We started with Coppice Cottage in Grantown-on-Spey, and in 2020 we welcomed our second property, Matara House Holiday Home, in Westhill, Inverness — a bright, comfortable two-bedroom home with its own private garden, offering easy access to both Inverness city centre and the airport, while still being tucked away in a peaceful, quiet setting.
Since then, we've been proud to welcome guests time and again, treating every booking the way we'd treat a visit from our own family and friends — with attention to detail, spotless homes, and a warm welcome. It's a philosophy reflected in our guest reviews time and again.
Looking ahead: we're excited to be expanding with a new holiday home in Inverness soon. Whatever changes, our approach stays the same — because for us, hosting was never really about the properties. It's about the people.
